Why Xero payment pages

Why businesses put a branded Pay Now page in front of Xero invoices instead of a generic processor splash screen.

A Xero invoice already carries the brand of the business. Pay Now often does not. The customer leaves a document they recognise and lands on Stripe, GoCardless or PayPal chrome they do not.

Problems this service targets

  • Pay Now opens a processor page that does not look like the organisation that billed them.
  • Finance waits for a bank feed, or types the card settlement back into Xero by hand.
  • Operations still cannot see paid state until someone copies it into the next system.
  • Retrying an ambiguous card payment risks a duplicate receipt on the invoice.

OnDraft registers a Xero Payment Service so Pay Now opens a page drafted for the business, then writes the payment back to the invoice once.

What this is not

Not a Xero App Store listing. Not a claim that every Xero org already has the page live. The page, the Stripe account, and which invoices offer Pay Now are scoped.
